  • Competition rules of karate

    - The competition area is a square area of 8x8 m in length; surface is a special thin mat thickness of 2.5 cm.
    - Competitors must wear a specific uniform- white kimono.
    - Points are as follows: SANBON - three points, NIHON - two points IPPON - one point.

    Do you know some other rules relating to karate competitions?

    I knew very little about the competition rules in karate and nice to read some details about it. I just know that whoever wins more, will win the match and that the hit in the head has a bigger point.

      i fear a sport where i shall be the punching bag and karate is one of them....... but i would like to learn it for my own protection
