  • Common Terms Used In Golf

I first learned some terms in golf when I played it virtually on my mobile phone. Some terms that I have learned from it include:

Ace - the ball gets into the hall in just one stroke.
Par - standard score for a hole or a course
Bogey - a hole played just one stroke over par.
Course - area or piece of land used in playing golf.
Hole - the hole in the ground
    Pin - the stick flag

I just remembered that term "birdie" as I used to have such score/shot when playing a virtual game. I am sure it is harder to achieve on an actual play than on a virtual one.

Yes it is much harder to achieve in an actual golf setting because you have to be exact and pin point where to you want the ball to travel. and also physically being able to generate power throughout your muscles to shoot a long distance to the hole. As a virtual setting it is much more relaxed and you only rely on the controller as the swing motion

I do know some of those terms although I have not played an actual golf. Such as the birdie, par and bogey.
